ZUZMO is a live-culture, fermented, organic soft drink made from natural ingredients through fermentation, without artificial sweeteners, filtration or heat treatment. On top of being refreshing and pleasantly acidic, it also benefits your body. During fermentation, lactic acid bacteria and useful enzymes are born, exactly what your digestive system needs for healthy functioning. Good news: thanks to the non-pasteurized production technology, all these elements – along with the bubbles formed during fermentation – remain in the drink!

ZUZMO / Bottle filled with life
The keyword is fermentation, which occurs with the help of Japanese crystal fungus, also known as water kefir – a wonderful living organism that is a natural symbiosis of lactic acid bacteria and yeast. The name is misleading, because milk has nothing to do with lactic acid fermentation, during which sugars break down, and beneficial bacteria and enzymes essential for our bodies are produced. Spices, tea, fruits and vegetables contribute to the final, refreshing taste – resulting in a live, additive-free, naturally carbonated and practically sugar-free soft drink with excellent probiotic effects.

ZUZMO drink was created in Pécs by Maja and Ildu. From the first homemade versions, they reached the point in three years of producing in larger quantities while keeping their nutritional values and probiotic benefits. The team was joined by Natura Hill in 2024, where fermented, non-alcoholic beverages have already accompanied dishes highly appreciated by Michelin Guide restaurant critics. Misi, the restaurant’s chef, took over product development, and production is now based at the foot of the Börzsöny mountains, relying on the natu.farm organic garden and modern fruit processing facility.
